Before an individual item or link can be included in the ICF Research Portal, it must first be evaluated by the ICF. The ICF evaluates and categorizes all items which have been submitted by external sources for possible inclusion in the ICF Research Portal. This work is done by qualified and unbiased individuals who have pledged to review all items that are submitted to the organization on a first come-first serve basis.

The intent of the ICF Research Portal is to feature content from the best coaching and coaching-related practices throughout the world. For this reason, the ICF actively encourages individuals to submit items for the ICF Research Portal which have been produced in non-English languages.

All research items and/or links submitted for approval should relate directly to the practice or profession of coaching. It is preferred that each item submission include a brief author bio describing his/her credentials. In order to ensure the integrity and quality of the research process, item submissions should have been created with every attempt to comply with generally accepted research procedures; including, but not being limited to:

- Indication when the research was conducted;
- Statement of the problem or research question;
- Review of the literature, design and methodology;
- Coherence of theoretical formulations and appropriateness of conclusions; and
- Writing quality that would make a contribution to the coaching literature.

CONSENT: The ICF reserves the right to reproduce on its website any item that has been submitted to the ICF for possible inclusion on the ICF Research Portal.  The individual who submits a research item and/or link for approval shall either be one of the original item authors or a person who is duly authorized to grant permission for the item to be reproduced on the portal.

If you are authorized to submit an item to the ICF for possible inclusion in the ICF Research Portal, please complete the Online Consent Form.
