Overview
| International Coaching Week (ICW) is a weeklong global celebration of the coaching profession held annually, during the first full week in February. Originally founded in 1999 by ICF member Jerri N. Udelson, MCC, ICW is a designated time each year for coaches and clients to educate the general public about the value of working with a professional coach and to acknowledge the results and progress made through the coaching process. During this extended commemoration, coaches around the world offer a variety of activities and pro-bono services in their local communities to share what coaching has the ability to do. Looking for ideas on how to celebrate ICW next year? Take a moment to review some highlights from 2011 here (March 2011 Coaching World excerpt PDF). Information on other events can be seen here. The International Coach Federation is a proud sponsor of ICW and encourages coaches all over the globe to participate by holding special events during the designated International Coaching Week.
Due to various circumstances, some areas hold a local coaching week celebration at a different time of the year. For more information, please contact your local ICF Chapter.
