ICF Annual International Conference
Thank you to everyone who attended the 2011 ICF Annual International Conference in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA. Coaches from around the world joined together and were Playing to the Edge while in Las Vegas. Look for highlights from the event in the October issue of Coaching World.
The Conference Education Steering Committee used this year's host city as inspiration when coming up with the concept Playing to the Edge. According to Lynn Meinke, PCC, Conference Education Steering Committee Chair, the theme is about risk, fun, and ultimately about taking coaching to the "edge."
"How do we as coaches play to the edge?" asks Lynn. "How do we stretch ourselves and how do we stretch our clients to play to the edge?"
Conference attendees shared what Playing to the Edge meant to them:
- "Living the best life I can, in service and in compassion, on the edge of death"
- "To evolve to the point of being an essence"
- "Flexibility, resilience & a positive change"
- "It's going to the boundaries of my comfort zone and then a couple steps beyond"
Important reminders for conference attendees:
- Conference survey to arrive on October 3. Your feedback helps ICF volunteers and staff plan future events-only you can share what you liked and didn't like about conference.
- How do I download session audio recordings? Following conference, attendees will receive a post-conference newsletter via email. Instructions on how to download session audio recordings will be included in this communication. Session recordings for available sessions are expected to be posted in about 30 days.
- Where can I get my photo? A selection of photos taken during conference, including headshots taken at Sunday night's reception, will be available for download at Coachfederation.org/photos following conference.
- Did you miss a keynote? Shortly following conference video recordings of the keynote addresses will be made available on Coachfederation.org. Video recordings of the keynotes are expected to be posted in about 30 days.
