Monday: Coach's social, get together to meet other coaches, discuss our challenges, and wins

Tuesday: Book Review: Open to public, this event will be facilitated by Ann Deaton, PhD, PCC, and we'll discuss the book "Drive" by Daniel Pink and learn about human motivation. This discussion will include coaching techniques and a coaching demonstration. The concepts from Drive are valuable for enhancing your own motivation, as well as motivating colleagues at work and even your own children. It is not a requirement to read the book.

Wednesday: Working with our ‘adopted' community service project JAM (Jobless Assistance Ministry). Denise King, PCC, will talk on "Coaching Yourself Through Change for Job Seekers," for Job seekers who are ready to embrace self-coaching concepts and receive coaching tools to help with job transition.

Thursday: An open house "Coaching for the Curious," open to both coaches and non-coaches to learn about coaching, experience coaching, receive information on how to become a coach, and to acquire coaching tips.

Friday: Discussion panel facilitated by Jean Gasen, PhD, PCC, where several local corporate leaders will discuss their coaching experiences, the benefits of coaching, and the future of coaching in the corporate world.

We are hosting a reception for area businesses, with a focus on non-profit organizations. We will share information on coaching; ICF and our Chapter, after which, guests will be invited to share about their organizations. We will follow the information session, with live coaching demonstrations and a panel of coaches with various specialties for Q&A. The Academy of Executive Coaching (AoEC) is holding a two-day international coaching partner event in London on 7 and 8 February to coincide with ICW 2012. Partners from China, Kenya, Croatia and Romania, along with potential new partners from around the globe, are gathering with us to discuss their approach to coaching, the cultural issues and differences working in local markets and the importance of delivering quality assurance. The event will also
include workshops on business development and training and facilitation skills, and offer a chance to extend the international coaching network.

tInsideOut Development is celebrating International Coaching Week by giving away a coaching engagement with Alan Fine, author of the New York Times best-selling book You Already Know How to Be Great and the co-founder of the world-renowned GROW model.

To enter the giveaway participants have to post the problem or situation they need to be coached through at http://www.facebook.com/IODevelopment. Visitors to our Facebook page will vote on who they think should win. A "Like" to a Facebook post is considered a vote.

ICF staff members will be promoting findings from the 2012 ICF Global Coaching Study. This study, conducted in 2011, had 12,133 respondents from 117 nations and is the greatly anticipated follow-up to the groundbreaking ICF Global Coaching Study that was conducted five years ago. The findings from the new study will prove especially useful in highlighting the growth of the coaching industry and uncovering those trends that have emerged over the last five years.

Also, ICF Global plans to again volunteer at the locally-based International Book Project (IBP). Since 1966, IBP has sent more than 5.8 million books abroad. IBP is an international nonprofit whose mission is to promote education and literacy. In addition to volunteering, the ICF will be hosting a book drive for IBP.
