Richard Bentley, PCC
Richard Bentley, PCC started his working life as a journalist and then went on to form and run his own corporate communications consultancy. Clients included Barclays Bank, KPMG, The Open University, Milton Keynes Economic Partnership and Maclarens.
Discovering coaching in response to critical feedback from a consultant on his style as an owner/manager, Richard was so taken by the course that he decided to relinquish his role in the communications consultancy and move into full-time coaching in 2000. He trained with both Results Coaching Systems and with the Coaches Training Institute and is an ICF Professional Certified Coach.
Richard is now Coaching Solutions Director with Results Coaching Systems (Europe) and works as a coach (individuals and teams), trainer and facilitator, primarily bringing coaching into the workplace. In addition, he mentors coaches and is an asessor with Results Coaching Systems. He was previously Co-President of UK ICF.
Richard has held a number of non-executive directorships in the not-for-profit sector in the UK. These included: Deputy Chairman - Milton Keynes Community Foundation; Director – Milton Keynes Theatre & Gallery Company; Chairman – Woughton Leisure Centre, Milton Keynes. Richard also trained and worked for five years as a marital counsellor with Relate, the UK's leading relationship counselling service.
