Sylviane Cannio, 51, married, one child.
M.A. in Applied Economic Science

23-31 years old: around the world
She began her career with IBM Singapore (1980) then with Belgian Embassy in Kinshasa, Zaire (1981). She was appointed Brand manager at Procter & Gamble (1981-1982). Willing to travel again, she became consultant for BIT/World Bank/UN, working out of the UCL's International Management Research Centre (1983-1984). She wrote two books with professor E. Cracco. Editor-in-Chief for the magazine Nord-Sud (1985-1987) - 16 journalists – she covered the UNO and GATT general assemblies, concentrating on development problems in the Southern Hemisphere.
 
32-41 years: strategy and interpersonal/corporate communication
The magazine being sold, she launched Media 4 (
www.media-4.org) in 1988 and gained experience in internal and external communication from working with companies such as Suez, Crédit Lyonnais, Glaxo SmithKline, Axa, PriceWaterhousecoopers, Volkswagen, Unilever, C&A, Vedior, ExxonMobil, McKinsey, etc. as well as with international institutions. She wrote articles for several magazines mainly Le Vif-L’Express and Trends-Tendances. Since 1992, she trains executives in the framework of two training institutes. Lecturer since 1992 at UBI (University of Wales/UK & Clarks University/USA) – she has been teaching Strategic Management, International Business and Corporate Communication in both BA and MBA programs until 2005.
 
42 years old – today: the human development
In the early 2000s, she intensified her training in individual and team coaching, in leadership and personal development with several institutes: International Mozaik Paris, Ecole d’Analyse Transactionnelle, Ressources (NLP), Gilles Pellerin (Berne’s Organizational Theory), Ecole d’AT, Metasysteme, etc. Each year, she pursues between 20 and 30 days of training and will be ready to apply for MCC credentialing in 2008 .Between June 2004 and June 2006, she was President of ICF Belgium. She organized the European Coaching Conference in May 2006 in Brussels, with 600 coaches from 34 countries. Last but not least, since 2004, she supports a school in Rajasthan with her husband of Indian origin (
www.tejmahal.org).
